Ciara wowed Instagram followers with a photo of her weight loss makeover, half a year after revealing that she wanted to lose 48 post-baby pounds total.

Ciara is only four days into 2021, and she’s already making major headway on her fitness resolutions. The 35-year-old singer revealed that she is “down 28 pounds” nearly six months after welcoming her baby boy Win with husband Russell Wilson, 32. To celebrate, Ciara shared a gorgeous photo of herself rocking lilac hair and a fuzzy white bardot top — which showed off her toned shoulders — on Instagram on Jan. 4.

“Super Proud of where I am starting off 2021! Down 28 pounds thanks to @WW!!,” Ciara captioned the fit selfie, tagging the Instagram account for the WW weight loss and wellness program (formerly known as Weight Watchers). She added, “This journey has been easy, stress free and fun! Especially juggling mommy life, work life, exercise, etc!”

Ciara further gushed that the WW app “has been a game changer,” after becoming a WW brand ambassador in Sept. 2020. Ciara hasn’t reached her target weight yet, though. The “Rooted” singer revealed that she still has “20 more [pounds] to go” at the end of her caption, and encouraged her 26.9 million Instagram followers to also join her WW journey.

Ciara revealed that she started her new post-baby “game plan” in an Instagram post in Aug. 2020. At the time, the Grammy-winning performer revealed that she had 48 pounds that she still wanted to lose, meaning that she is already more than halfway through her goal now.

When Ciara joined WW by Sept. 2020, the mother of three explained, “As you guys know, I’ve got three babies now and life can’t be any more hectic but it’s time to get a system that’s realistic, that’s sustainable and one that I can really do with breast feeding and everything else going on, making my album, working and everything — it’s a whole lot to juggle. But, I believe it’s all possible and if I can have a plan, and plans on every level. So, I’m a woman of ambition on a mission, and I want to make it happen.”

Ciara made her first post-pregnancy award show appearance at the American Music Awards in Nov. 2020, where she presented in a stunning red gown. Let’s be real, though: Ciara looks amazing no matter what weight she is, since the number on the scale doesn’t matter at the end of the day.
