Playing a BDSM-loving dominant and sadist has a way of coloring people’s perception of you. At least, that’s probably how Jamie Dornan feels since he was “relieved” to know that his costar, Emily Blunt, hadn’t watched the Fifty Shades of Grey trilogy. The onscreen lovers star opposite each other in the upcoming rom-com, Wild Mountain Thyme.

She continued, “I’d seen Jamie on The Fall and I’d seen him in Private War, and that was it really. So I didn’t have any sort of perception of him being this, you know, whatever Christian Grey was.”
The movie, which was filmed pre-COVID, follows a farmer, Rosemary, who is intent on winning over her neighbor, Anthony. Seems simple enough, but Jamie’s character inherited a family curse and is oblivious to Emily’s character. Buuuummer.

“Anthony is so the antithesis of [Christian Grey] and actually Jamie is the antithesis of that character,” Emily revealed. “Basically, what I’m alluding to is Jamie has zero game whatsoever,” she added with a laugh.
Okay, I find the zero game part hard to believe. But, it’s nice to know that Jamie is nothing like Christian Grey (sorry, not sorry, to Fifty Shades fans!).
