- Meghan Markle and Prince Harry were spotted buying a Christmas tree for their new home in Montecito.
- The Sussexes are expected to stay in California for the holidays, while the royals figure out who will be in the Queen’s “bubble.”
Meghan Markle and Prince Harry are gearing up to decorate for the holidays, and were seen buying their Christmas tree together at an unnamed tree barn. According to People, Meghan and Harry were basically undetected by fellow Christmas tree shoppers, but a little boy went up to Prince Harry thinking he worked there.
“Meghan and Prince Harry came into my work today and we sold them their Christmas Tree,” @imaJaaaaaames wrote in a since-deleted tweet, per People. “We had our lot empty when they got there—their agent promoted them a good time to come instead of us shutting it down. There was one family in there and their stoked little son ran through trees up to Harry and asked if he worked here not knowing who that is.”
There’s been a fair amount of speculation about whether the royal couple would travel to England to see Harry’s royal family for the holidays, but it looks like they’ll be staying in Montecito due to coronavirus safety concerns. Meanwhile, the Queen might not even see Prince William and Kate Middleton due to her coronavirus “bubble” being so restricted—and on top of that there’s some holiday drama going down.
According to The Express’ royal correspondent Richard Palmer, the royals are dealing with a “staff revolt over attempts to make them isolate from their families” and the Queen was “furious” after she found out workers were refusing to isolate in order to “be able to join a small bubble of close aides serving the monarch over Christmas.” Yikes.
